Brightness and control of “local” areas can be accomplished by
removing portions of Neutral Density 3 or Frost gels. Leave
strips to attach at three or four corners as shown.

Note: Lowel does not supply
Polarizing gels. They may be
damaged if used close to
high-wattage Tungsten lamps.
Lowel gels use a tough polyester base. They are fire, moisture
and fade resistant. However, color dye will fade, and therefore
should be checked from time to time, especially Day Blue.
When gels are used with focusing lights, do not focus the light
to full (or near full) spot position. We do not recommend dou-
bling up gels in use heat buildup between them is too great.
